Campaigns are funded by the people who believe in them. Every donation goes toward reaching residents across Lake Country with a clear message about responsible spending, thoughtful planning and transparent decisions.

Donation rules

What B.C. law requires

Only individuals may donate. Donations from corporations, unions, organizations and other groups are not permitted.
You must be a resident of British Columbia and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
The maximum you may donate is $1,497 in total for the 2026 campaign period, across all candidates in Lake Country.
You must donate your own money and cannot be reimbursed by anyone else.
Donations of more than $100 must be made by cheque, money order or electronic transfer — the payment method on this page meets that requirement.
Your name and address are recorded and reported to Elections BC as required by the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.
Donations to municipal campaigns are not tax deductible and no tax receipt is issued.
